What is SLS printing?
Selective Laser Sintering builds parts by fusing polymer powder with a laser, layer by layer. The surrounding powder supports the geometry during printing, so separate support structures are not normally required. After printing, parts cool before unpacking and powder removal.
When to consider Nylon PA12

Design and finish considerations
SLS parts typically have a matte, slightly textured surface. Thin walls, small holes and mating features need a design review. Hollow parts need openings that allow powder removal. For assemblies, tell us which dimensions and clearances are critical. We agree on the required finish and inspection criteria before manufacturing.
What affects the price and lead time?
Part dimensions, material volume, quantity, packing efficiency, finishing and inspection requirements all affect a quote. Lead time also includes preparation, cooling and post-processing. We confirm the price and delivery schedule after reviewing the actual model.

You can request a prototype and a batch quote together. Testing a sample can help validate fit and finish before committing to a series.
Does SLS need supports?
The powder bed supports the part during printing. The design still needs to allow removal of loose powder, particularly in internal cavities.
